Admissions


To enroll just call the school to set up an appointment to speak with an admissions representative. 

Enrollment Requirements

1. Applicants must possess a high school diploma, a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), have earned a diploma at a foreign high school that is equivalent to a U.S. issued diploma, OR demonstrate an ability to benefit (ATB) from the school’s training program.

Applicants without a high school diploma or a GED may be accepted after achieving a federally mandated passing score on a standardized test proctored by an independent certified test administrator approved by the Department of Education for determining a student’s ability to benefit from a program offered by the school.

High school diplomas in languages other than English must be translated to English and may require an evaluation to determine its equivalency to a United States issued high school diploma. Foreign diplomas must be translated by the Association of International Credentials Evaluator (www.aice-eval.org) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (www.naces.org).

2. Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants under the age of 18 must have a Parent or Legal guardian's signature.

Application Fee:  There is a $125.00 non-refundable registration fee due upon enrollment.  This will secure a spot in a class.

Classes start the first tuesday each month:  Call to inquire about openings in upcoming classes.

 

 

 

Our Mission 

To provide a course of instruction t hat will equip and prepare our students to meet all the requirements necessary to graduate in the field of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. To provide them with the proper training and expertise needed in their careers, and to assist each student to realize their own potential.  To stress professionalism and to prepare them for examination and licensure by the State Board of Cosmetology.

Provide and review current and new teaching methods, materials, and techniques at least annually so that the techniques used in our daily instructions will be the most modern available.  To measure and periodically evaluate with standards and teacher made tests, the level of proficiency of each student in each area contained in the curriculum.

Strive continuously to improve the operation and keep constantly abreast with the ever- changing field of Cosmetology.

 Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for qualifying individuals. 

The following are various types of aid available:

  • Federal Pell grant: This grant is awarded to students with financial need and does not have to be repaid.  The amount of your Federal Pell Grant depends on your cost of attendance, expected family contribution, enrollment status and whether you attend for a full academic year or less.
  • Federal student loans:  Student loans are borrowed money that must be repaid, with interest.  You must be enrolled at least part-time to be eligible. 
  • PLUS loans:  loans parents can obtain to help pay the cost of education for their dependent undergraduate children.
  • TOPS and TOPS TECH:  state scholarships are available also. 
  • VA benefits:  we are an approved vendor for individuals who qualify for VA benefits
  • LA Vocational Rehabilitation:  we are an approved vendor for individuals who qualify for benefits.
